It's no wonder that Sul..-based underground Slim Young would change the game with his platinum-plated 2006 major label debut underground Legend. Slim Young will become a real big rap name to break out of the Lone Star State since the legendary Scar face, with his boastful, conversational flows, sing-a-long hooks and melodic, head-nodding grooves.

On his first album is entitled THE UND KING, the H-town veteran offers that same street smart savvy mixed with crossover appeal that took him from regional recognition to national stardom. "I took my time on the new album and really worked on it," he divulges. “I wanted to give it mixed emotions. Every track makes you feel a different way."
Born in Accra-Ghana in western part of Africa, Slim Young was the final MC to be enlisted into the late 2 Pac elite rhyme outfit, the 2 Pac Click. Before the legendary turntablist succumbed to a heart attack in 2000, Slim won local praise flexing his freestyle muscle on the Scientist's flows style. And because the up-and-coming rhyme animal could rap non-stop off the top of his dome, the street honored slim and he was called "Da underground king."

Slim young is a Nigga of Jay Pac. The tough Nigga on the street of triple mike  that no Nigga ca defeat in terms of dissing rap and that is where he learned his style from. And yet he and Jay Pac himself are trying to come out with a real tag hip-hop album they calls it,” MONEY RULES””...Their tight bond was from since their childhood and together they walk with Donald Donavan, A.K.A. Poisonous and other tag street Niggas .But Slim Young's speech won't be a litany of memories about friends and family who believed in him and fueled him with the positive encouragement he needed to succeed. Instead, he'll thank those passersby - known and unknown -- who left him, at the age of 13, to fight for his dream on the lonely streets of west side,Malaikers City. It was their inability to see his vision that made his dream bigger and stronger and it was their disbelief that forced him to show and prove.

"When I was 12, 13, I was a real good student, “Slim Young recalls, "but I was like 'Mama, I wanna do this [rap] thing.' I used to watch TV and see rappers on. I was like, 'That's all they doing? I can do that.' I was like 'All I need is some girls and a little jewelry, Mama and keep myself clean, Mama. And I can do it, Mama.' Mama was like 'Yeah, right. If that's what you wanna do, get out my house. You wanna do that, go show me’.” and I did it to her surprise. So my dreams will be achieved and that is what I believe so far as I also believe on the street.
